Vonda's Speaking Topics:

· Seeing Through the Lies - Join Vonda on a hilarious journey through all things female as she searches for real truth in a half-truth world. From spider veins and webs of deceit to cartoon characters and feminist funnies, this message will help you recognize the lies and take joy in the light of His truth. You’ll laugh! You’ll cry! You won’t be the same!

· Celebrating Womanhood: Bubbles to Beaus, Babies to Bedpans—A humorous look at the seasons of a woman’s life from first bras to shaved legs and PMS to hot flashes. You’ll laugh out loud as you experience the truth that God can use every woman, no matter her age.

· Submission is Not a Four-Letter Word!—The message of how God took Vonda kicking and screaming all the way to submission, and her realization that it has nothing to do with being a doormat!

· A Call to Holiness—A look at how the world’s standard of “acceptable” compares to God’s standard to “be holy.”

· How to Raise Your Kids Without Raising the Roof—Want to find a godly balance in raising children? Vonda shares the Psalmist’s Rod of Discipline, a non-physical, tender rod of love, as the template for raising children. Gentleness without authority won’t work; but neither will authority without gentleness.

· The Gift of Intimacy—A look at God’s provision and plan for a fulfilling marriage relationship.

· The Fertile Ground of a Child’s Heart—Using a garden analogy, we walk through the steps of growing godly children who will reap a harvest of holiness.

· My Mother’s Hands—Join Vonda on a finger-by-finger look at godly mothers of the Bible, giving us hope and confidence to develop a legacy of love for our families.

Meeting Planners Say:

“I prayed that Vonda would be funny enough to win our hearts, yet challenge us with the Truth of God’s Word, and show us how to apply that truth to our hearts. God far surpassed anything I had prayed for! Glory to His Name!”

DeeDee Thornton, First Baptist Church, Fernandina Beach, FL

Debbie Mathis, Former Director of Youth, Children and Family Ministry
Plymouth Haven Baptist Church, Alexandria, VA

“When I think of Vonda Skelton, her love for the Lord comes to mind; it oozes from her pores. Her sweet spirit, small stature and huge enthusiasm for life combine for a refreshing, humorous, and profound message. Her insight for women about living for Jesus is very encouraging. Her love of writing and eagerness to help others with the same interest went far above our expectations. She is quite simply, a gem.”
Jennifer Fromke
Crossroads United Methodist Church, Concord, NC

“Vonda can be described simply by reading Titus 2:3-5. Her teaching method is one of humility, honesty, and humor with answers and advice out of the very Word of God.”

Vonda Says:

Humor is the great equalizer. Young or old, rich or poor, women experience similar successes and similar failures; and if we're smart, we don't take either one too seriously! By laughing at ourselves in the midst of our shared chaos, we open the door to an honest appraisal of who we are, and what we are, and where we are in Him.

Gospel Presentation?

Whether I'm doing an in-depth Bible study or humor with a message, I love to include the Gospel of salvation through Christ. The topic may determine the manner in which it's presented, but the hope found in God's love and forgiveness never changes.

Why Vonda Speaks:

God doesn't waste anything. I believe He allows the good and bad experiences of my life so that I can share the truth: That He loves us and wants to forgive us, regardless of what we've done.

Vonda's Goal:

As women, we're so busy trying to be everything to everybody that we end up feeling like we're nobody to anybody! We worry that we'll never get it right; that we're letting everyone down; that we can't measure up; that we don't have what it takes. My goal is to point women to the only true source of encouragement and hope-Jesus Christ, our Lord.
