Her boundless energy and contagious enthusiasm will be
the first thing to captivate you, but genuine passion will be the lasting
impression, long after she steps off the platform. Laura Sabin Riley
speaks from her heart, out of her own personal brokenness, bringing
hope to a generation of people who have fallen into a pit of performance.
A self-proclaimed "recovering people pleaser", Laura often
weaves this common theme into many of her messages; "Don't be afraid
to be exactly who God created you to be; to try to be anyone else will
only make your miserable!" While Laura enjoys speaking to men,
women, and youth, her deepest desire is to equip and encourage women
to pursue their full potential. She'll make you think, make you laugh
and make you stop and take notice of the empowering grace that God wants
to give you in your daily life. Through her own passion, humorous stories,
and biblical insights, you'll rediscover a love and a passion for God,
for others, and for living.
Aside from being an accomplished speaker, Laura has published numerous
stories in more than a dozen different books, and she is the author
of All Mothers Are Working Mothers, a daily devotional designed to encourage
women in the very valuable, but often under-valued profession of motherhood.
She is currently working on a book for single parents. Laura is a graduate
of CLASS (Christian Leaders, Authors and Speakers Seminar) and a member
of AWSA (Advanced Writers & Speakers Association). A single mother
of two boys; she is active in both youth and women's ministries at her
home church, and she is currently enrolled in a master's program at
her local university, where she expects to receive her master's degree
in community counseling in the Summer of 2006.
Laura's Speaking Topics:
• Lifesavers for Single Parents
The number of single parents is on the rise, and the task of raising
children alone can leave a parent feeling like she's drowning in a sea
of overwhelming demands. Drawing on her own experience as a single mother,
Laura will show you how to recognize and grab onto the physical, emotional
and spiritual lifesavers God sends your way. You will come away feeling
refreshed and revitalized, and you will be practically equipped with

Every
Woman's Wardrobe: God's Armor
Women and fashion go together like hand in glove; so does life and its
struggles. At times, life can be like one giant battlefield! While most
women spend a considerable amount of time building a wardrobe in order
to dress for business success, we neglect to dress for spiritual success.
Using Ephesians 6 as a springboard, Laura identifies six ways that the
enemy of our souls attempts to disable and destroy Christians, by stripping
them of their spiritual wardrobe. In turn, you will be equipped with
six daily defenses to combat the enemy's attacks, as you clothe yourself
in the armor of God - the wardrobe no woman should be without.
For an extra special touch, this message is great coordinated with a
fashion show!

a broken woman, bruised and bleeding internally from the damaging effects
of verbal, psychological, physical, or sexual abuse. But there is hope
and you can help! Paralelling the Israelites flight from Egypt and all of the turmoil that surrounded their escape from a life of slavery, Laura shares a blend of education about the varying stages and types of abuse, and

Some
Secrets Aren't Worth Keeping: Pornography Addiction & Prevention
The statistics are startling. The number of men and women becoming ensnared
in the clutches of pornography and sexual addiction is climbing every
day. While addiction is addiction, and the reasons people develop life-altering
behaviors of any type are similar in nature, unlike other addictions
such as drugs, alcohol, or gambling, sexual addiction is even more dangerous
because it is not easily detected by outward behavior or habits. It's
easy to keep secret. And this "secret" is destroying marriages,
breaking up families, and ruining lives both inside and outside the
church in record numbers.
In this educational seminar, Laura will explain the addictive nature and the natural progression of pornography, its
effects physically, emotionally, and spiritually, and share practical
tips on how to safeguard your life, and your children's lives from this
relentless destroyer.

Blue
Jean Friendship
A good friendship, like a good pair of jeans, just gets better with
time. But, just like your favorite blue jeans get rips, tears, and frayed
edges from a lot of wear, so can your friendships get worn out if you
don't take good care of them, mending those rips caused by the stresses
and strains of life! This fun seminar not only takes a peek into the
importance of having faithful friends, but will equip you to repair
frayed friendships, encourage you to build durable friendships, and
empower you with ideas for fortifying all of your friendships, old and
new, so that just like your favorite pair of blue jeans, you can keep
them forever.
A great seminar for a "girls night out" event!

Laura Says:
"The more I learn to laugh, the easier life gets no
matter how hard it gets! I try to weave some humor into all of my presentations
regardless of what the speaking subject is, because I believe that laughter
really is the best medicine for all of us."
Gospel Presentation?
Absolutely! After all, it's all about Him! I always try
to bring everything back to Jesus and what He did for us on the cross.
I keep it simple, but meaningful, and tied to the topic at hand.
Why Laura Speaks:
Why not? Someone's gotta do it! Seriously, we all have different gifts
- some of us are God's hands, some his feet, some his ears and eyes.
I happen to be one of God's mouths! And I'm okay with that! I am most
comfortable as a communicator, and I love to find creative ways to share
Christ's love and His truths. I believe we all go through trials and
overcome difficulties as part of the process in becoming all God created
us to be. On the journey, we can help others grow by sharing what we
have learned along the way; I want to share with others what God has
taught me in the process of overcoming and becoming!
Laura's Goal:
My goal when I speak is to meet people exactly where
they are and to share Christ's love for them and acceptance of them
in that moment, then gently encouraging them and boldly empowering them
to take a step of faith to the next level of their spiritual journey
in a relationship with Christ. My desire is to see the walls of criticism
and judgment torn down that have separated Christians for generations.
The bottom line is Jesus Christ. If we could leave our differences and
preferences at the cross, we would experience life like we've always
wanted to - in a fresh and vibrant way, as a result of choosing to love
one another, regardless of the variations in our churches and cultures.
It's the same Jesus that died for all of us.
