Karen
Says:
God
has given me an active sense of humor. And its a good thing because
so many funny things happen to me. I love to weave fun and laughter
into my presentations.
Gospel Presentation?
Yes
I present the gospel in every message sometimes as a major point and
sometimes it is woven throughout the presentation. I am convinced that
unless we get our relationship to Jesus right, we have failed. I am
always sensitive to the varied traditions of the groups I speak to and
I work with the meeting planner regarding the group's perferences as
to altar calls, show of hands, response cards, or counseling so that
everything is done in good taste.
Why Karen Speaks:
I
cannot not speak! Like Jeremiah "....his word is in my heart like
a fire, a fire shut up in my bones. I am weary of holding it in; indeed,
I cannot." Jer 20:9
Karen's Goal:
My
goal is changed lives - that those who attend will not leave the same
as they came. I always pray that when a conference is over and weeks
or months have passed, those who attended will say, "I can't remember
that speaker's name, but God changed my life that weekend." A fellow
AWSA shared that prayer with us on the loop one day and I have adopted
it as my hope, too.
